I will participate in this group show curated by the Ohio University Student Senate and the Black Student Union to highlight the rich diversity of artistic expression on the Athens campus. This exhibition brings together faculty and students whose work delves into the complex narratives and vibrant cultures that shape their backgrounds, offering insight into the inspirations behind their creations.

For this show, I am exhibiting my painting Girl in a Blue Hijab for the first time in its frame.

ATHENS, OH (February 15, 2024) – The College of Fine Arts presents an exhibition of the Thesis work by Bright Kontor Osei on March 5-8, 2024, in the Ohio University Art Gallery on the 5th floor in Seigfred Hall. There will be an artist talk from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, and a reception for the public from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. The exhibition features paintings of marginalized individuals in Ghana, particularly those living and working on the streets.
