MFA THESIS EXHIBITION, “PEOPLE OF GHANA,” HONORS THE MARGINALIZED

ATHENS, OH (February 15, 2024) – The College of Fine Arts presents an exhibition of the Thesis work by Bright Kontor Osei on March 5-8, 2024, in the Ohio University Art Gallery on the 5th floor in Seigfred Hall. There will be an artist talk from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, and a reception for the public from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. The exhibition features paintings of marginalized individuals in Ghana, particularly those living and working on the streets. Osei celebrates these individuals' dignity, resilience, and aspirations by drawing on his experiences. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their communities and consider ways to support and uplift vulnerable individuals.
