Within this portfolio, I showcase a collection of self-portraits titled “Reaching Out”. This pivotal juncture marked a transformative phase in my artistic career, where I commenced the exploration of my unique artistic voice. Through this body of work, I articulate profound reflections on my life experiences as an artist raised in Ghana, incorporating the rich iconography of Ghanaian culture, expressing my Christian identity, and providing commentary within the context of my newfound artistic milieu at Ohio University’s School of Art + Design.
